Favorite Wrestlemania Match

I remember this match when I was only six years old. I watched it with my mother and sister. It was my first real experience watching professional wrestling, though I waa familiar with the two competitors. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were the top two stars of the WWE (then WWF). They were competing in a 60 minute Iron Match where whoever had the most pins by the end, would win the match.

Shawn Michaels was the one challenging for the title. Of course he made an impression zip lining from the rafters to the floor and dressed like a gay chauffeur. Bret Hart was the champ and much more subdued and methodical than his opponent.

This struck up the perfect balance between them as they were opposites in personality but both excellent at their craft. It takes a level of skill to keep you entertained for a full hour. But they managed to pull it off with neither managing to score a pin and so the match had to go into sudden death. Michaels managed to score the pin and became the new champ. But you knew from the match that these were two titans and the audience was the true winner.
